Trey Poker

If you’re a regular table game player, then you’ll probably already be aware that there’s a wide range of different poker products available out there. Netent have created a fair few of their own as well, and Trey Poker is just one of them. This provides gamers with one of the simpler offerings of such, but it’s still an entertaining and exciting game on the whole as well. For those of you who aren’t familiar with such offerings, the word ‘trey’ translates to ‘three’ in poker terms, and this is key to the general idea behind the game, as it’s played with only three cards. Even though this is the case, the aim of the game is exactly the same as all other poker offerings, meaning that you need to form a better hand than that of the dealer. With this being the case, if you’re familiar with the different poker hands that can be created, you will be at a definite advantage over those players who aren’t.

The Visual Appeal

As soon as you load up the Trey Poker game from Netent, you’re presented with the classic green felt table layout. The cards remaining to be dealt are shown in the top right hand corner, while the dealer’s space is in the centre at the top, in front of the stacks of chips. Next to this you will also see the sign advertising the minimum and maximum bets you’re able to play, while across the middle of the table you will see the text, ‘Dealer plays with queen or higher’. It’s below this that you will see your cards dealt, representing your playing area. Three circles also exist here, with the first being the ‘Ante’ circle, the second being the ‘Play’ circle, and the one displayed slightly higher up being the ‘Pair Up’ circle.

As noted there is a minimum and maximum wager value displayed on the screen, with these being €1 and €40, respectively. Your bets can be made up by using the chips displayed in the bottom right corner, which stand at €1, €5 and €10, while a further chip exists in the form of a grey colour with a red ‘x’ on it to cancel off any already placed wagers. Further customisation of the game exists with you being able to turn on and off the sounds and adjust the graphic display to suit your own computer or mobile device.

How to Play and the Winnings

Once you have decided on a particular type of wager, you simply need to place the relevant amount of chips on the ‘Ante’ circle. Following on from this, you need to press the ‘Deal’ button and this will see three cards dealt out to you. The dealer will also receive three cards face down. Then, you have the option to play or stand. If you choose the latter option, the bet is lost and the round ends, but if you choose to play, you bet will be doubled. The dealer then shows his three cards and both hands are compared to one another. The highest hand is obviously the winner, and this is the general basis behind playing. The dealer needs to qualify first before proceeding, and in order to do this he needs to have a queen card or higher in his hand. If he doesn’t qualify, you automatically win. As far as the ‘Pair Up’ circle is concerned, you will bet on whether or not you’ll receive two similar cards dealt. Should you be dealt a pair, you win this bet.

There are various different poker hands that can be created within this one, starting from the lowest of a ‘High Card’ and going right up to the highest card combination of a ‘Royal Flush’. For most wins you will receive a pay out of 1:1, but for three of a kind you will receive a 4:1 pay out and for a straight flush, you will receive a 5:1 pay out. If you and the dealer both have equal hands, then a draw result is earned. In this instance, you simply receive you wager back.
