Slot Details

With a typical 80’s electronic soundtrack and flashy background, the new game comes has retained the traditional reel symbols from that early slots era. However, it all has a very modern feel as the graphics have been transitioned into the 21st century with crisp and fluent animations. Twin Spin Deluxe™ is a 6-reel, 5-row video slot with the Cluster Pays™ mechanic and synced reels on every spin.

TRTP of this medium variance game is set at 96.61%, featuring a maximum win on a single spin of 1,000x bet for a full screen of diamonds. Bet levels and coin values range from 1 – 10 and $0.01 – $1.00 allowing for bet sizes between $0.10 – $100. Auto Play allows up to 1,000 consecutive spins with a range of options as to when the run should stop. The slot is in HTML5 format available on desktop, mobile and tablet across all OS platforms.

Synced Reels and Cluster Pays

Two pay mechanics are at the center of the action on Twin Spin Deluxe™ that have the potential to produce big and mega wins on every spin.

  • Synced Reels – Inherited from the original Twin Spin slot, the game will sync minimum two reels at the start of each spin. This can expand to link 3, 4, 5 or even all 6 reels which can lead to a full screen of the same pay symbol. The synced reels are visibly highlighted before the reels stop. Important to note is that synced reels can still have different symbols but they will be in the same position on each linked reel.
  • Cluster Pays – First introduced on the Aloha! Cluster Pays slot the mechanism pays for clusters of identical symbols. Minimum 9 symbols are needed to be adjacent horizontally, vertically or diagonally, the payout being comparable to a 3OAK on a standard slot. Wins increase with more symbols in the cluster, reaching the maximum win on a full set of 30 pay symbols.

The aim on any spin is to have as many reels synced as possible as that will undoubtedly produce larger clusters. The game will award wins between 0.5x – 5x bet for clusters of 9 symbols, while a full 30 symbols will pay handsomely between 100x – 1,000x bet.

Our Verdict

Well, well, well! For years, we were expecting a sequel to the hugely popular Twin Spin slot which has amassed a large fan base since its release in December 2013. And of course, we were hoping to get something even more exciting and thrilling to glue us to those reels. Twin Spin Deluxe certainly surprised with the giant 6×5 game grid but that’s where the surprises ended. Scoring a full screen of the lowest symbol on Twin Spin award wins that are well in excess of 200x bet while on the Deluxe version we have to make do with a mere 100x bet. That is certainly not superbly exciting. However, Netent seemed to have aimed to reduce the volatility of the game as that will make it attractive for a large player base since not everyone is into medium to high volatility.

Other than that, the game is well-designed, bears the high quality of the Swedish studio and the reels turn smoothly in both, normal and quick spin mode. Overall, I can recommend giving the Deluxe version a proper spin on your next slotting session.
