Stickers Slot

As far as we’re concerned, Stickers is a game that tries to build on the success of NetEnt’s ‘Starburst’ by providing a simple enough game with minimal special features included. On paper, it seems like a great idea. After all, it worked exceptionally well for Starburst. However, when it comes to Stickers, it tends to lack a little in certain areas, and it seems that replicating the success of one game that follows this particular method isn’t as easy as what it appears. Don’t get us wrong, Stickers is not a bad game in any shape, way or form. It’s still entertaining enough with high quality graphics and general game play, but it just doesn’t quite reach the heights of some others in the developer’s catalogue. There is also the inclusion of a piece of music that would probably be right at home within a children’s cartoon show on television, but it also somehow manages to fit in well with this game. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with Stickers as a game, but it’s also not something that we find ourselves rushing to play, especially when there’s plenty of other NetEnt products available to access.

What Does It Look Like?

Stickers takes on the regular interface of a slot game, offering five reels and three rows to its users. So, this should provide somewhat of a familiar layout. It is upon these reels that you’ll find the various different icons of the game, and these come initially in the form of the regularly seen A, J, K, Q and 10 icons. Each of these has been placed against a vibrant coloured background – almost like Skittles. Joining these are four different fruit icons, although they’re designed to look like actual stickers, so they have a white border surrounding them. The fruits included a vibrant blue plum, a tropical and tasty looking kiwi, a juicy orange and a crimson coloured strawberry. There is one further icon included in the game, which provides it with its special feature. That’s something we’ll explain a little more about soon.

As well as the reels, rows and icon, this game has also had a total of 20 different pay lines included in it. These are all fixed in place as well, so there’s no choice of adjusting these downwards. However, you can alter the amount of the wager you place, which is done in the first instance by switching around the value of one coin. This offers players a range of between €0.01 and €1 per line, and following on from this, you can also change the bet level as well. In this, you’ll find the option of having a value between one and 10 activated. Therefore, with these items at their highest levels, you’ll be able to place a maximum overall wager of €200 per spin.

Sticky Specials to Enjoy

As noted, this game tries to replicate the success of Starburst by keeping the added features at a minimum level, and as such, there’s just a single speciality included in it. This is known as the ‘Sticky Spin’, and it involves wild icons. The wild of this game is represented by the ruby red coloured spade shape with the word ‘WILD’ written across the top. When this shows up, it will substitute for all other symbols on the reels in order to form a winning combination, which is basically the same as wilds in any other game. However, it has another underlying perk to it as well, which is where the sticky spin comes into play.

If the wild does show up, it will trigger the sticky spin feature, and you’ll be awarded with a single one of these. The wild symbol will stay in the same position for the re-spin, meaning that you have another chance to form further wins. Not only that, but if more wild icons appear after the re-spin, the same thing happens again. All wilds will remain in the same position for the re-spin, and this continues until no further wilds show up. This means that it’s entirely possible to fill the entire screen with wild icons, and if you do so, you’ll be rewarded with the biggest pay out available in the game.

To Summarise

As we noted, this isn’t one of NetEnt’s greatest games, despite it having thoroughly intriguing graphics and relatively simple game play. The addition of the sticky spin feature is, of course, very nice, and does provide the chance of multiple wins from a single wager. However, it lacks the mystery and intrigue that provided Starburst with such a big fanbase, and although it’s not a hugely bad game, it only comes in at a mere average due to this.
