Bonus Keno

It’s quite easy to get wrapped up in the mass of slot games available online, and it’s most of these that provide us with our jackpot products as well. However, in a bid to try and shake things up a little, NetEnt have also developed a couple of games which stray away from the video slot options and instead introduce a selection of alternative products to the progressive market. One of the games from this developer which contributes to this is entitled Bonus Keno. For those people who have not played this sort of game before, Keno is like a lottery gambling game, where players will wager by choosing numbers ranging from between one through to 80, as is the standard. After all of the players have made their bets, 20 different numbers will be drawn at random, although some games take the option of selecting fewer. Your winnings, if any, will depend upon how many of your numbers are picked. And with this version of the game, there’s the opportunity of winning a huge jackpot alongside the standard pay outs.

What's Included on the Interface?

This Keno game is exactly like the traditional models of such, providing you with a total of 80 different numbers to choose from on a blue board. These are laid out in a 10×8 formation, and in order to select your preferred numbers, you simply need to click on them, at which point they will become highlighted and chosen. Obviously, the more numbers you choose, the stronger your chances of winning more times, and choosing more doesn’t increase the wager amount either, so it’s probably in your best interests to select as many of them as possible.

Down either side of the numbers are board are two charts. The first of them shows you the history of your game play, telling you how many of your numbers were drawn or how many ‘hits’ you gained. And the second chart presents you with the pay table, which shows you how much of a pay out you will receive depending upon how many of your numbers are chosen. Should all ten of your chosen numbers be drawn out, for example, you’ll win up to 50,000 coins. As far as the wagering goes in the game, you’ll see the ‘Bet’ box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This ranges between its minimum of €1 and €5 per round.

Any Specialities in a Game of Keno?

You have to remember that a game of Keno is not the same as playing a few rounds of a slot game, so it’s by far nothing special in terms of specialities. It does, however, feature its very own bonus round. This is triggered by five or more jokers appearing during the game, and you’re able to see the amount of these in the top left hand corner of the screen. These joker icons remain throughout the duration of the game, even if you leave and then log back in at a later time. As for the bonus round itself, this is played in almost the same way as the standard base game.

This will see you choosing between two and 10 numbers on the board. You can do this by selecting them yourself, or by using the ‘Auto Pick’ buttons on screen, which will offer you the chance of selecting either five or ten at once. You can also select a previous round of numbers by clicking on the specific round in the history chart. Any wins gained in the round will be doubled, but there’s really no other difference than this one to the standard main game.

The main attribute of this product is, of course, its progressive jackpot, which is displayed in the top right hand corner, and which updates every time a person places a wager on the game. A total of three percent of each bet placed is added to the total, and the amount won from this total is calculated depending upon the bet placed by you. You’re only able to win 100% of it if you’re playing with a wager of €5 per round. This can only be won if the numbers drawn out reveal the shape of a ‘J’ for jackpot. These don’t need to be the numbers selected by you, but simply in the shape of a ‘J’, and in which case, you’re paid out part of or all the jackpot amount, depending upon your wager placed.

To Summarise

There isn’t so much to say about this game from NetEnt. Keno is a simple game to play on the whole, although it’s made a lot more intriguing by the fact that there’s a progressive included in it, for sure.
